The organizers strive to respect the will of the audience and so will not
intervene in scoring except in extraordinary circumstances.  However, this year
we strongly feel that the second place modern demo entry deserved better
recognition, as it was clearly a very respectable demo requiring a substantial
amount of work by a first-time USA-based entrant.  We therefore wish to single
out this entry for special recognition and announce our belief that it should
have won.  We thank all entrants for their efforts and their part in keeping
the demoscene thriving.
