Title: RoboKinect Category: Modern demo Group: Just me! Individual credits: I got the Kinect working with Unity using a neat plugin. Using that plugin, I attached my own 3D virtual robot to a Kinect-tracked skeleton, which Unity handles in real time. I also modeled, textured and lightmapped all the objects in the background to make the place look like a cool robot lab. Target platform: Windows 7 Technique: All the base software to get this to work with Kinect was already out there; I just had to implement it. This uses Microsoft Kinect SDK and Unity along with a Kinect-Unity plugin. I made the graphics with Maya and GIMP to make it look pretty. Development platform: Windows 7 Unique properties: It tracks the user using the Kinect to control a cute looking 3D robot in real-time!
